State Championship - Date changed to October 18.
Colorado Junior Cup (CJC) was created to provide more racing opportunities to our juniors.  It is our focus to create an environment that is competitive, but more importantly fun and exciting. Ultimately the goal is to promote cycling as a lifelong choice. CJC is now part of our non-profit Junior Cycling Project!

The Colorado Junior Cup has no affiliation with USAC, NICA or the Colorado High School MTB League.
The COVID response: Please bring everything you need for the race. Due to the conditions, Colorado Junior Cup will not be offering food or drink at our races for 2020. As we try to eliminate gatherings at the start/finish, please manage your time wisely after you have completed the race. Please follow social distance guidelines and recommendations. If you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or were in contact with someone who tested positive in the last 14 days (from race day), we encourage you to stay home. We ask that everyone abide by these guidelines to keep our community healthy and to allow the races to continue as scheduled.

We have taken steps to minimize congestion for the Colorado Junior Cup. The start and finish are in separate areas. The finish will be at the top of the dirt hill and finishers will have a large open grassy area to spread out in. Please keep mingl ing to a minimum and exit the area to make room for other competitors. The start will be set up in a staging process where riders will be in rows of 4, with 6 feet between rows. We ask spectators to please follow social distance guidelines. It is a very easy course to maintain social distance and avoid congestion.
Please refer to state and local guidelines (see order) regarding PPE.

Thank you very much for your help!
It will ensure that we can run more events in the future.

Colorado Junior Cup State Championship is a stand-alone race. There are no qualification requirements to enter.
** For High School reference, varsity would typically race Expert, JV would be Sport, Freshman and Sophomore could race in any of the categories depending on ability. First time racers should start with Beginner. If a rider is 19 but still in high school, they are clear to race.

Timing is based on race age, or how old you will be on 12/31/2020.
Rules: Above all else, enjoy being on your mountain bike! Because CJC will be holding the state championship, we will not allow "aging up" to another category (with the exception of 7-8/9-10 categories). Be respectful to your fellow competitors. Be nice to the trails, they were there before us! Don't litter. Smiles required.
Registration/Pricing: $40 preregistered only.  Junior (10 and under) $25.  Please refer to the Registration page to get signed up.
READ THIS: REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ONE HOUR UP TO YOUR RACE TIME. Registration is online only, even if you come to the race and sign up. Our staff only has the ability to assign a number plate.  Late fees apply and the price will go up $15 at 8:00PM the night before the race.

Team Tents: Tents will be allowed. An area will be set up that will maximize distancing between tents. Please email us to reserve for your team.
Feed Zone: The dirt road after the start line is a great place to take aid. We will not be providing aid, but family members can. Or you can place your own bottles to the side of the road to collect at each lap. Please keep your things separated from others. There is lots of space. And please keep the area clean when you leave.
Pre Riding: Pre-riding the course is allowed on race day. Riders must not interfere with racers and clear the course when a racer approaches. If warming up behind a racer, please stay a minimum of 100 feet back.
Rider Support: For the younger and less experienced racers, we realize some parents would like to support by riding with them. IMPORTANT: You must yield to other racers and clear the course when approached.
Mechanical Aid: If a rider suffers an equipment issue, mechanical help is allowed on course by spectators or onsite tech resources.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Refunds will be accepted at any time up to the day before the race. If we have to cancel any race due to inclement weather on race day, we will be unable to offer a refund.  We hope you understand!
